A lot of people and even fitness trainers are convinced that traditional cardio is the best exercise to lose fat fast. But if this is such a great fat burning exercise why do all the people who run on a treadmill five or seven days a week have almost the same body like last year. You need different results so you will have to do things different.
Aerobic training burns a higher amount of fat during the workout than anaerobic training. But this doesn’t mean that aerobic training gives you a leaner body then anaerobic training. While doing a typical cardio workout your resting metabolic rate remains elevated for only one or two hours. But your RMR remains elevated for up to one to two hours following a strenuous anaerobic training.
Doing too much excessive cardio can cause a loss of lean muscle mass, therefore decreasing your RMR. And the lower your RMR is the harder it is to lose any more body fat. At the same time it is easier to store body fat if you happen to overeat. Therefore to be super lean and get ripped fast it is absolutely necessary to add weight training to your workouts. Fat loss weight training is one of the best things your can do to lose fat fast. It increases your metabolism and you burn more calories while being active and while at rest.
A very good cardio routine to lose body fat fast is doing HIIT training. HIIT training stands for high intensity interval training HIIT training can be done in as little as twenty minutes and the fat burning results are much bigger then traditional cardio exercises. If you do low intensity interval training you will lose muscle loss. With high intensity interval training you don’t lose muscle mass. See it this way there are a lot of overweighted marathon runners but all the sprinters are super lean.
So you have learned that traditional cardio is not the best way to lose fat fast. Spend most of your time on weight training. For weight training use free weights instead of machines. Keep your cardio workouts shorter but more intense. For the majority of people a training frequency of 3-4 sessions per week works best. And don’t forget to have a good nutrition plan. You can run a marathon every week if you eat more calories then you burn you will stay fat.
