Many “beachers” cite time as one of their biggest challenges. After all, it can be tough to find the time to cook and watch what you eat. To help, Dr. Arthur Agatston teamed up with Kraft and Santa Fe to bring you the South Beach Diet line of products.
Sante Fe created a line of wraps that are high in fiber and contain 100% whole grains, extra-virgin olive oil, and omega-3 oil. Three different varieties are available including whole-wheat wraps. multi-grain wraps and multi-grain wraps with garlic, herbs and rosemary. The multi-grain wraps also come in snack size. These wraps can come in handy when you want a quick sandwich or need to pack lunch.
Kraft offers a much more extensive line of products that cover every meal of the day. For high-fiber cereal, Kraft created two different types of cereal – Toasted Wheats with eight grams of fiber and Whole Grain Crunch with four grams.
Made for wholesome ingredients, the cereal bars have twice as much protein and 25% less fat than other leading cereal bars. They also come in seven delicious flavors including Nut Medley Granola, Maple Nut, Cranberry Almond and Peanut Butter among others. So, when you’re in a rush, make sure to take one along.
For those times when you are in a rush, frozen entrées can be essential to success. The South Beach Diet entrées contain a generous portion of lean protein, crisp vegetables and pasta made with whole grain wheat with no trans fat and 330 calories or less. There are sixteen different varieties including Penne & Chicken in Roasted Red Pepper, Savory Pork with Pecans & Green Beans and Beef & Broccoli with Asian-style Noodles. Stuck at work? Make sure you have one in your freezer.
Now, here’s one item you never thought you would have again – pizza. A fiber-rich crust makes these pizzas “beachy”. A few minutes in the microwave and you will be enjoying a harvest wheat crust with generous toppings like grilled chicken, vegetables and pepperoni.
If you can’t get away from your desk, refrigerated sandwich wraps can provide an appetizing alternative for lunch. Kits contain lean deli meats with, 2 % cheese, soft tortilla wraps and a sauce or dressing.
When you’re on the run, here’s another thing that you can just toss in your bag or keep in your desk drawer at work. Single-portions of cookies and crackers are packaged in a small bag with no more than 100 calories per serving and no trans fat.
Dr. Agatston does not recommend that you rely solely on these products for your meals. However, there are times when you just need a quick alternative, that’s when South Beach Diet products come in handy.
