The trainer might not be experienced or educated (you can’t believe everything you read on the Web!), might not care enough to develop a program that’s going to help you reach your goals (you might get a “template” workout the same workout he or she gives to everyone else!), or might not deliver what you pay for at all.

If you do decide to use an online trainer, be sure you know what you are paying for. Evaluate the trainer’s site using the pilot method. Check references carefully. Verify credentials. Find out how long the trainer has been operating online so you won’t be left with a disappearing act after you give your credit card number.
