It is not entirely safe or even possible to use antiperspirants on your face, besides which they don’t always work. You will also find that due to the logistics of having a sweating face where the sweat always rolls down off your face in the most awkward manner, any of these methods are more a hindrance than a help.
The one thing that you can do to help you control your sweating is to stop using facial creams entirely, or barring that, use only very light creams. Heavy creams of the type normally used in the harsher winter months can have a cloying effect on your skin and cause you to sweat even more – even in winter.
The other thing that you need to take into consideration is whether your sweating face is a genetic trait. Is it something that has been passed down through the family line? If so, you can always talk with a family member first to see what remedy they have resorted to, to stop their sweating face problems.
Of course some people don’t take too much notice of these things and take it in their stride. These people are the ones who always tend to have a handkerchief in their hands and are always lightly dusting their face with it.
Speaking of which, a good viable alternative to using antiperspirants is to use talcum powder. Use only a very light dusting so that you don’t take on the appearance of a street mime or a clown, and try very hard to avoid your eyes, nose and mouth when applying it, but do try it by all means. It can help to keep your face dry and free from sweat, at least for a little while.
If makeup is what you prefer to use, not talcum powder, then make a compromise. Use a loose compact powder instead one of the creamier compact versions that are available. The coverage might not last as long, but since you have a sweating face anyway, it becomes a moot point, doesn’t it?
A sweating face doesn’t need to be the end of the world as your know it. You can still have a thriving social life, you just need to find the little things that can help you to control or even prevent your facial sweating. For instance, if you like to eat hot foods regularly but then sweat as if there was no tomorrow, you might want to cut back on those foods! Little things like this can help you immensely in the long run and only take a little effort on your part.
