1. Walk Walk whenever you get the chance. If you’re going somewhere that’s walking distance, don’t take your car. Not only will you save money of gas, you’re going to get a great workout. When at work, don’t take the elevator. Just walk up a few floors. Using the stairs is one of the best exercises you can get during the weekdays. For those who have gym memberships, it’s good to get in a good 30-minute exercise on the treadmill, whether you walk or jog, it makes no difference. Many fitness experts highly recommend that you try and get in a 30-minute workout every day; whether it’s just going for a walk, a jog or using the weight machines at your local gym. 30-minutes of exercise daily is very important in staying in shape.

2. Use fitness DVDs Too cold to go outside for a walk and you can’t get to the gym? Invest in a few fitness DVDs, some weights and a fitness ball. With these things, you can stay fit in the comfort of your own living room. Just fall out of bed in the morning and pop in your 15-minute workout DVD. It’s THAT easy!

3. Pilates Pilates is one of the best exercises to strengthen your body’s core. Pilates classes are available at most gyms, but your gym doesn’t offer it, just pop in your Pilates DVD and you’re good to go. Just remember to purchase a mat.

4. Yoga Stressed about work and bills? Yoga is a meditative exercise that helps build muscles from holding some difficult poses. This will help you relax and get toned all at the same time.

5. Spinning Spin classes are amazing! I take them every winter and I highly recommend it. Cycling will help you shed pounds and get your legs nice and firm. Many gyms and community colleges will offer spin classes for pretty cheap. If you would like, get your own bike, crank up your stereo or iPod and get riding! It’s a killer workout that does wonders.
