The low GI diet, better known as glycemic index are foods that are slow releasing in which it takes the body a longer time to digest food, while a higher glycemic index means food intake is digested very quickly, therefore not allowing the body to burn off that food, which ultimately leaves fat sticking to your body.

Low GI foods are important for the body, because it means that your body is getting energy, while certain body fats will be limited as all the calories from your food intake will burn off throughout the day.
