Personal Training Can Save You Money by Reducing Health Care Costs

Personal training is not just a means to look better on the outside; it can also help you look better on the inside – and that can actually save you money. Women, even those who are not overweight, need weight training to be healthier. Osteoporosis can be prevented through weight bearing activity. When bones are porous due to this condition injuries are more likely to occur. When you break a bone this will cost you through hospital and doctor’s bills, and you may not be able to work for a period of time, therefore reducing your income. Personal training can be your preventative care, and will ultimately cost you less. Working with a personal trainer will help you learn the correct exercises, appropriate weights to use, and how to always progress your program. Spending 6 months to a year with a great personal trainer could save you thousands for years to come if it helps prevent serious health conditions.

Osteoporosis is only one example.

Consider heart disease next. An overweight individual probably has more problems than just the discomfort this weight causes. Many overweight individuals have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and possibly diabetes. Imagine what your arteries and heart may look like, and the risk you are putting yourself in. Being overweight is very expensive and can only get more expensive. Consider the cost of blood pressure medications, cholesterol medications, multiple doctor’s visits, higher insurance premiums, etc. If a personal trainer could help you lose weight, reduce your blood pressure and cholesterol, and prevent you from having diabetes, wouldn’t the investment be worth it? You would save so much money, and frustration, by participating in this preventative “medicine” program. It could even save your life.
